In Dr. Hallowell's lecture that is on my website homepage, he refers to Dr. Bellak as a key player in identifying that children had AD/HD like their parents, defining it as a genetic challenge. Often Dr. Hallowell refers to Dr. Bellak in his books as well as in his lectures. For those that would like to learn more about Dr. Bellak, please visit CPSPublishingInc.com

Not much to comment about on this one but I don't know how they do their research. I'd be more inclined to trust the numbers from a team of researchers who typically do that kind of research. Consumer Reports did a lousy job of evaluating medications for ADHD, concluding that generic Ritalin, for example, was as effective as the other medications. Thia is a crock when you consider how people respond differentially to different chemical compounds and that dosing every 3 hours is impossible for most.

This book is useful. I have started using this to help educate parents of my ADD/ADHD clients. I believe that every professional should have a copy on hand for clients and as an excellent reference.

You're doin' great Howie. I can totally relate to your issues. I have trouble paying attention in class, I'm distracted by the slightest noises, I can not sit still for long because I get antsy very quickly, it takes me forever to finish assignments for school, I'm frequently running late for class, going to work is exhausting because I have to exert so much effort just to stay focused on the task at hand and conduct myself in an appropriate manner. I go through the day struggling to keep up with everything, sometimes I don't know how I do it. It's a never ending struggle. People don't know it though. They have absolutely no idea of how much effort and hard, painstaking work goes into everything I do. Every homework assignment is written in anguish, every shift at work is the ultimate test of my patience. Life is an obstacle course that has me jumping one hurdle after another. Yet like you, I never get tired enough to quit. Way to go Howie! you're inspiring!

I can't praise Kerin Bellak-Adams enough for her new workbook.
I was so excited to watch Kerin transition through those last few months until this workbook went to print. Kerin provides exceptional resources that benefit professionals, parents and students.
It will be a pleasure/honor to share Kerin's workbook as our 2009-2010 school year quickly approaches.
I would encourage readers to invest in this workbook. Finally, I second Kerin's feelings to provide feedback once you've embraced this resource.
